How to recycle food waste
Use the weekly food waste collection service provided by Buckinghamshire Council.
How to start recycling food waste
You need an outdoor food waste recycling bin (which you can order from the council) and a suitable container to use as a kitchen caddy.
Once you have your containers, you can start.
Most people put a liner in their kitchen caddy, then put their food waste in that. You can use compostable liners, plastic liners and bags or even newspaper. You can order a year's supply of liners for just £4 online.
When your indoor caddy (or container) is full, empty it into your outdoor food bin, or into the larger food waste bin if you have a communal bin store.
If you have a weekly collection from your household, you can put your outdoor food recycling bin out for collection by 6:30am alongside your other bins on collection day.
