Here are some facts:

  • people who menstruate use more than 11,000 disposable menstrual products in their lifetime
  • each period can cost on average £10 (that’s £120 a year and £4,800 over a lifetime)
  • disposal of single-use menstrual products (for example tampons, pads and applicators) generates 200,000 tonnes of waste per year in the UK
  • the average person who menstruates throws away up to 200kg of menstrual products in their lifetime
  • most single-use disposable menstrual pads can be made of up to 90% plastic

Our Sustainable Period Product Scheme helps people buy reusable alternatives to traditional disposable period products.

Our scheme (funded by Buckinghamshire Council) will provide a £10 voucher for you to spend on sustainable period products.

You can also use this scheme for incontinence products (with the below suppliers).
